FY2026 CoC Program Application Information 

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the FY2026 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program on June 1, 2026.  Interested new and renewal applicants should reference the materials and instructions below.

The Upstate CoC has multiple submission deadlines for our local competition.  Applicants should thoroughly read the instructions to understand what materials should be submitted and when.

Local Competition Timeline

June 1, 2026- NOFO Published by HUD

June 10, 2026- National Alliance to End Homelessness Webinar “Understanding HUD’s FY2026 NOFO” Register at: https://endhomelessness.org/webinars/

June 19, 2026- DUE DATE- Letters of intent are due (this includes new applications or renewal applications)

June 26, 2026- Interested applicants notified of approval, approval with changes, or rejection of their letter of intent

July 13, 2026- DUE DATE- New and renewal project applications due to the CoC via e-snaps pdf. form. Do NOT submit your project application in e-snaps until The Upstate CoC gives you notice to do so

July 14, 2026 - July 20, 2026- Grants committee meets for project application threshold review, standard review, and scoring

July 21, 2026- Rating and Ranking Committee Ranking Options Meeting

July 28, 2026- Advisory Council vote to approve recommended project priority listing

No later than August 11, 2026- Applicants notified of project accepted, rejected, or reduced status on priority listing

No later than August 25, 2026- Public posting of the CoC Application and Priority Listing

August 26, 2026- Submission of CoC Application and Priority Listing to HUD
