The 2026 CoC Builds Competition is Now Open

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released a CoC Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Continuum of Care (CoC Program on June 23, 2026. Interested applicants should reference the materials and instructions below. More information can also be found on the HUD Competition page.

The Local Competition Timeline, detailing due dates for interested Upstate CoC applicants, is posted below.

Local Competition Timeline

June 23, 2026- HUD releases CoC Builds NOFO.

June 30, 2026- Local Timeline posted and call for Letters of Intent to Submit for New PSH Project.

July 6, 2026, by 5pm- Letters of Intent to Submit are due

July 9, 2026- Notification to potential applicants of acceptance or rejection of letter of intent

July 16, 2026, by 5pm- Project Application and all required documents are due to Candace Kobe at ctimmerman@uhcsc.org

July 20, 2026- Upstate CoC will notify applicant regarding project acceptance or rejection

July 23, 2026- Final Deadline to Submit CoC Builds Application is 8:00pm Eastern Time
